About BTL

Build with Experience. Build to Last.

Our Story

Why We Build The Way We Do.

Al didn’t start Built To Last Construction, Inc. simply to build homes. After years of seeing rushed projects, preventable failures, and homeowners paying to fix work that should have been done correctly the first time, he believed there was a better way. That belief became the foundation of BTL.

Every project is approached with the same philosophy: plan thoroughly, communicate honestly, choose materials that will perform for years, and never cut corners that someone else will have to repair later. Whether it’s a custom home, an addition, a kitchen renovation, or a structural repair, the goal is always the same: build it right the first time.
Today, BTL focuses on homeowners throughout Westside Los Angeles who value thoughtful planning, quality craftsmanship, and long-term performance over quick fixes. It’s a deliberate approach that has shaped every project since the company was founded in 2010.
What We Stand For

Four commitments on every job.

01

Honesty over upsell

We recommend the work your home actually needs, not the work that creates the biggest invoice. Honest guidance, realistic expectations, and no unnecessary additions to the scope.
02

Materials chosen to last

We specify materials that perform in Westside conditions, from coastal moisture to year-round sun exposure. Every product is selected for long-term durability, not just appearance.
03

Root cause repairs

We trace leaks, movement, and structural damage back to the source before recommending repairs. Solving the underlying problem is how we keep the same issue from returning.
04

Small, focused team

We intentionally limit the number of active projects so every client receives direct communication and consistent oversight. Quality comes from staying involved from start to finish.
Where We Work

Westside Los Angeles, focused.

Rather than serving all of Southern California, we focus our work throughout Westside Los Angeles. That local experience means we understand the neighborhoods, permitting departments, coastal conditions, and construction challenges that shape every project.
Ideal Partnership

The Best Projects Start With Shared Priorities.

If you value thoughtful planning, honest communication, and construction that’s built to last, we’re likely a great fit. We believe the best projects happen when homeowners care just as much about long-term quality as we do.
